Let’s kick things off with the Nationals signing of Livan Hernandez. Hernandez, 35, was signed to a minor league deal worth 900K plus incentives. Livan posted a 5.44 ERA in 183.6 innings of work last year. He could compete for a rotation spot. 
The White Sox and Blue Jays discussed a deal for Roy Halladay. Prospects Tyler Flowers, a catcher, and Dan Hudson, a pitcher, could have been involved. Good thing for the Phillies that didn’t happen. 
Stephen Strasburg is scheduled to pitch two innings of work against the Detroit Tigers on March 9. He is making jaws drop in Nat’s camp, with Nyjer Morgan even going as far as calling him “Jesus”. Ivan Rodriguez was very impressed with what he saw.
